The Rock and Roll Hall of Famer, Kennedy Center Honoree, Presidential National Medal of Arts recipient, eight-time Grammy Award-winner – including a 2015 Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award – and pioneer of Chicago’s fabled West Side sound, continues to thrill audiences with his live concerts and latest release, The Blues Is Alive and Well.
At 82 years young, the legendary performer is doing exactly as the title implies. The album showcases his raw and unadulterated sound, which you can be sure to hear live at Roy Thomson Hall.
Tom Hambridge is a three-time Grammy winning producer, songwriter & drummer. He has recorded with B.B. King, Buddy Guy, Keith Richards, Van Morrison, Jeff Beck, Gregg Allman, Chuck Berry, Susan Tedeschi and Johnny Winter to name a few.
As a songwriter, Tom has had over 500 of his songs recorded by such diverse artists as Eric Clapton, B.B. King, ZZ Top, Buddy Guy, Joe Bonamassa, Keb’ Mo’, George Thorogood, Lynyrd Skynyrd, James Cotton and many more. As a solo artist he has released six critically acclaimed albums.
