CIS Ontariohas been monitoring the COVID-19 situation carefully with respect to the CISMF annual concert scheduled for April 5, 2020 and we have determined that the best course of action is to cancel the concert, as well as the preceding rehearsals. Concerns about the COVID-19 global pandemic are increasing and although mandatory 'social distancing' measures have not been implemented by public health at this time, we feel it necessary to take a proactive approach and do what we can in order to help 'flatten the curve' of COVID-19. It is our responsibility as an association to do our part to keep our community healthy.

For those of you who have already purchased tickets to the event, please note that Roy Thomson Hall will be issuing an automatic refund to the credit card you used to purchase your tickets. Refunds issued usually take 10-14 business days to appear on your statement. There is no other action required from you unless the expiry date on your credit card has changed since you purchased your tickets. In that event, Roy Thomson Hall will contact you directly.

CISMF is a “one of a kind” music festival for the 48 Independent Schools in Ontario and is the most extensive and successful music school program in Canada. Every year over 1,800 music students from 48 Ontario schools come together to perform in front of an audience of over 2,200 people. The 2,200 patrons in attendance actively support youth music. This Music Festival is a remarkable opportunity for students and music educators to collaborate in a non-competitive atmosphere that fosters a high level of musicianship and artistic expression.
