TSO presents
Elgar lovingly renders those nearest and dearest to him in his magnum opus, the “Enigma” Variations, which includes as its shining centerpiece the achingly beautiful “Nimrod”. Arguably the greatest of all cello concertos, Dvořák’s masterpiece prompted Brahms to proclaim, "Why on earth didn’t I know one could write a cello concerto like this? Had I known, I would have written one long ago.” Sheku Kanneh-Mason, who captured the attention of the world with his performance at the 2018 Royal Wedding, joins TSO Conductor Laureate Sir Andrew Davis and the Orchestra.
